Kareena Kapoor Khan Lands In Legal Trouble As Christian Group Lodges Complaint Against Actress Over Title Of Her Book 'Pregnancy Bible'
A police complaint has been filed against Kareena Kapoor Khan over the title of her book, Pregnancy Bible, which was launched last week.
Legal troubles seem to be mounting for actress Kareena Kapoor Khan, courtesy her new book Pregnancy Bible. As per a report in PTI, a complaint has been filed against the actress at a police station in Maharashtra over the title of her book. A Christian group has raised an objection to the title ‘Pregnancy Bible' and accused Kareena of hurting the religious sentiments of the community.
Alpha Omega Christian Mahasangh president Ashish Shinde submitted the complaint against the actress and two others at the Shivaji Nagar Police Station in Beed over the book. In the complaint, Shinde said that the word "Bible" in the book's title has hurt the religious sentiments of the Christian community. The complaint has been filed under IPC section 295-A (deliberate and malicious acts, intended to outrage religious feelings of any class by insulting its religion or religious beliefs) against the actress and the two others.
A police official confirmed receiving the complaint but said no FIR has been filed. Talking to PT1, Shivaji Nagar Police Station in charge Inspector Sainath Thombre said, "We have received the complaint but no case can be registered here as the incident has not happened here (in Beed). I have advised him to file a complaint in Mumbai.”
For the unversed, on July 9, the Jab We Met actress announced her book and called it her “third child.” In an Instagram post, the 40-year-old actress shared that this has been quite the journey -- both her pregnancies and writing her 'Pregnancy Bible'. Kareena also mentioned that in many ways, the book is like her third child from conception to its birth.
Pregnancy Bible is a personal account of what the actress experienced physically and emotionally through both her pregnancies.
